This Privacy Policy describes how Paul Laurent Trading ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PL Trading Bot, PL Admin Bot, the Paul Laurent Trading Discord community, and the website paul-laurent-trading.com (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Discord Data (Bots)

When you interact with PL Trading Bot or PL Admin Bot, or when the bots are installed on a Discord server you are a member of, we may collect and store:

  • Server (guild) information: server ID, server name, channel IDs, role IDs — used to deliver bot features and maintain per-server configurations
  • User information: Discord user ID, username, display name, roles — used for feature delivery, access control, verification, leveling, and moderation
  • Message content: only when you explicitly interact with the bot via commands, buttons, modals, or panels. We do not read or store general chat messages.
  • Moderation data: actions taken by the bot (bans, kicks, warnings, timeouts) including the reason and the acting moderator — used for audit logging
  • Activity data: XP/leveling progress, trivia scores, giveaway entries, ticket interactions — used to provide the respective features
  • Trial and subscription status: trial start/end dates, subscription tier — used to manage access to features

1.2 Website Data

When you visit paul-laurent-trading.com, we may collect:

  • Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps — standard web server logging
  • Embedded widget data: TradingView and other embedded widgets may collect their own data according to their respective privacy policies

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not use analytics services that track individual users.

1.3 Payment Data

We do not directly collect or store payment information (credit card numbers, bank accounts). All payment processing is handled by third-party providers (such as Whop or PayPal). Please refer to their privacy policies for information on how they handle your payment data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain bot features (commands, panels, alerts, feeds, moderation, leveling, tickets, verification)
  • Manage server-specific configurations and settings
  • Process and manage subscriptions and trial access
  • Enforce community rules and perform moderation actions
  • Improve our Services and fix bugs
  • Communicate with you about service updates or issues

We do not use your information to:

  • Sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising
  • Profile you for marketing purposes
  • Send unsolicited communications outside of our Services
  • Train AI models on your personal data or message content

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Bot data is stored in MariaDB databases on secured virtual private servers located in the European Union
  • Access to servers and databases is restricted to authorized administrators only
  • We use SSH key authentication and firewall rules to protect server access
  • Data is transmitted over encrypted connections where possible
  • Despite our efforts, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Retention

  • Bot configuration data (server settings, panel configs): retained as long as the bot is installed on the server. Deleted upon bot removal if requested.
  • User activity data (XP, trivia scores, giveaway entries): retained as long as the user is a member of the server. Can be deleted upon request.
  • Moderation logs: retained for server security purposes. Server owners can request deletion.
  • Trial and subscription data: retained for the duration of the subscription plus a reasonable period for record-keeping.
  • Temporary data (alert compose sessions, scanner results): stored temporarily in memory or short-term cache and automatically purged.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only in these circumstances:

  • With server administrators: server owners and designated staff can access moderation logs, member activity data, and configuration settings for their own server through bot panels and commands
  • With third-party service providers: payment processors (Whop, PayPal) receive only the data necessary to process transactions
  • When required by law: we may disclose data if required by court order, subpoena, or applicable law
  • Cross-server security data: certain security features (such as impostor detection) use shared databases across servers to protect communities. This data is limited to user IDs and associated security flags.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: request deletion of your data, subject to our data retention policies and legal obligations
  • Portability: request your data in a portable format where technically feasible
  • Object: object to specific processing of your data

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Data transfers outside the EEA, if any, are conducted with appropriate safeguards

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Links and Embeds

Our Services may contain links to or embeds from third-party services (Discord, TradingView, YouTube, Instagram, X). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through our Discord server or website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
