PL Trading Bot documentation

Everything the Trading Bot does — installation, every built-in market feed, the Premium add-ons, the single slash command, and the web dashboard. The free tier includes the full set of built-in feeds; Premium adds custom feeds and branding.

Getting started

1 · Add the bot

On the Trading Bot page, click Install Free Bot and authorize it onto your server. The Trading Bot only needs permission to view channels, send messages, embed links, attach files and manage channels (so it can create your feed channels). It has no moderation powers — it can’t kick or ban. It’s free to run; Premium unlocks custom feeds and branding.

As soon as the bot joins, it posts a setup & config panel in a private #start-here channel (visible only to admins), and registers your server in your member dashboard (sign in with Discord to manage it from the web).

2 · Set up your feeds

You don’t need to create any channels yourself. The setup panel has one button per content category — Stock Titan News, Market News, General News, SEC Filings and Stock Voices. Click a category and the bot creates that category’s channels automatically and starts posting.

Set up only the categories you want — each one is independent, and you can add more at any time. If the panel didn’t appear (or you reinstalled), run /pl-setup at any time and the bot re-posts it in #start-here.

3 · Permissions

The #start-here config channel is created admin-only by default, so members can’t see the setup panel, and the /pl-setup command is limited to server managers. The bot posts feed content only to the channels it creates for you.

Premium features

Managed from your web dashboard once you upgrade. See pricing.

Custom Footer

Premium

Replace the default footer text on the bot’s embed feed cards with your own (up to 40 characters) — e.g. your server name or brand.

Custom RSS Feeds

Premium

Add up to 10 of your own RSS / Atom feeds. Any public feed works — the bot validates it and delivers headline + link posts to a channel you choose.

Custom YouTube Feeds

Premium

Add up to 5 YouTube channels. Paste a channel and the bot posts a notification whenever it uploads a new video.

Ping Roles

Premium

Attach a role ping under each feature’s posts, per-feature or applied in bulk across a category — so the right members are notified for the feeds they care about.

AI-Interpreted Form 4 Cards

Premium

A plain-language card for every Form 4 insider filing — company, insider, action, price and holdings after — with an AI-generated read on what it means.

Commands

The Trading Bot is almost entirely panel- and dashboard-driven. It registers a single slash command:

CommandWhat it doesWho can run it
/pl-setupRe-posts the setup & config panel in #start-here — safe to run any timeServer managers

Web dashboard Premium

Manage the Trading Bot from dashboard.paul-laurent-trading.com — sign in with the Discord account that owns your server. The dashboard is a Premium feature; it has four sections:

SectionWhat you manage there
OverviewAt-a-glance status of your footer, feeds and ping roles, a short “how it works” note, and a Refresh lists button to pull in newly-created channels/roles
FooterSet or clear your custom embed footer
FeedsAdd or remove your custom RSS and YouTube feeds
Ping rolesAssign a ping role under each feature’s posts — individually or in bulk per category

Saved changes reach the bot on its next cycle — allow up to ~15 minutes to go live.
